pwcrypt is a command line interface to the crypt() function. It is handy for use in generating encrypted passwords via a command line interface. As of version 1.2.1, the project name was changed from cli-crypt (Command Line Crypt) to pwcrypt to avoid binary conflicts with mcrypt on some Linux platforms.

Un bug a été introduit dans la version 1.1 qui a causé une erreur de segmentation s'il y avait moins de 2 arguments (comme lorsque vous créez un non-md5 mot de passe crypté). Cela a été corrigé. Mettre à jour est fortement recommandée.

A bug was introduced in version 1.1 which caused a segfault if there were less than 2 arguments (such as when creating a non-md5 encrypted password). This has been fixed. Upgrading is highly recommended.
