PCSpk is a set of command line applications for
playing simple sounds and melodies using the PC
speaker. It is inspired by Johnathan Nightingale's
beep.

Problèmes de portabilité ont été fixés, donc l'installation et l'utilisation sur * BSD est moins problématique maintenant. Sensibilité à la casse a été retirée du convertisseur de sonneries Siemens. Un nouvel exemple est fourni: l'un des thèmes célèbres Ennio Morricone.

Portability issues were fixed, so installation and use on *BSD is less problematic now. All examples were moved to one script (no more cluttering the bin directory). The code has been improved, and compiler warnings fixed. Case-sensitivity was removed from the Siemens ringtone converter. A new example is included: one of Ennio Morricone's famous themes.
Mode de jeu libre a été ajouté, qui introduit de jeu interactif sur un clavier. Par conséquent, le protocole a légèrement changé et il n'est pas compatible avec les anciennes versions. Free play mode was added, which introduces
interactive playing on a keyboard. Therefore, the
protocol has slightly changed and it's not
compatible with old versions. The Siemens ringtone
converter was improved by adding bpm and octave
recognition from comments in provided files.

Fonction play_beep Johnathan Nathingale à beep.c a, après de petites modifications, ont été intégrés dans pcspkd, il n'ya donc plus besoin de bip pour être installé. Meilleure configuration a été ajouté ( "normal" des options de commande et via la manipulation des fichiers). Le freq2beep inutile et note2beep ont été supprimés (équivalents à "pcspk" et "pcspk-n"). Un exemple la nouvelle musique a été ajoutée: Takako Minekawa Cat's Fantastic (début).

Johnathan Nathingale's play_beep function from beep.c has, after small
modifications, been integrated into pcspkd, so there's no more need for
beep to be installed. Better configuration has been added ("normal"
commandline options handling and via files). The useless freq2beep and
note2beep have been removed (equivalents to "pcspk" and "pcspk -n").
A new music example has been added: Takako Minekawa's Fantastic Cat
(beginning).
Netcat a été remplacé par PC-Président Server (pcspkd) pour écouter les connexions à partir de PC-Speaker Client (pcspk) avec la fonctionnalité de la vieille note2beep et applications freq2beep. note2beep et freq2beep ne sont plus que des frontaux pour pcspk.
