Description du projet

Grml is a live system (live CD) based on Debian. It includes a collection of GNU/Linux software especially for system administrators and users of texttools. It provides automatic hardware detection and its default shell is the zsh. You can use it e.g. as a rescue system, for analyzing systems/networks, or as a working environment. It is not necessary to install anything to a hard disk; you don't even need a hard disk to run it. Due to on-the-fly decompression, it includes more than 2 GB of software and documentation on the CD.

Cette version a été recentrée et maintenant se spécialise dans l'installation et la récupération. Il est sorti en taille (~ 350 MB) pour 32 bits et 64 bits. Grâce à la taille réduite de l'image ISO, le projet Grml propose également un grml96 (32++ 64) image ISO, mettant en vedette les versions 32 bits et 64 bits. This release has been refocused and now specializes in installation and recovery. It is released in one size (~350MB) for 32-bit and 64-bit. Thanks to the reduced ISO image size, the Grml project also offers a grml96 (32+64) ISO image featuring both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. One flavor, two architectures, and three options (grml32, grml64, and grml96). Linux kernel 3.1.6, UEFI support, VM support in grml-debootstrap, and new features in grml-live.

Cette version comporte un nouvelle version du noyau Linux 2.6.38.7 et basée sur up2date Debian / unstable progiciels base. Le paquet initramfs est maintenant XZ comprimé (plus petits) et / run a été introduite. Cette version comporte le noyau Linux 2.6.31 et plusieurs modules supplémentaires. 67 nouveaux logiciels ont été ajoutés. Les nouvelles fonctionnalités comprennent bootsplash vesamenu, qui fournit un facile à utiliser la sélection du menu de démarrage. Le noyau Linux a été mis à jour pour 2.6.28. 26 nouveaux logiciels ont été ajoutés. Une version spéciale MirBSD et un outil de détection de matériel pour syslinux ont été intégrés. Soutien à la persistance des racines a été ajouté. grml2usb a été réécrit, apportant un soutien pour les images ISO multiples.
